🕆 Tetelstia 🕆

Tetelestia. The last thing Jesus spoke on the cross. The last words our savior uttered the day he made the ultimate sacrifice for us. Tetelstia is Greek for "it is finished". Jesus didn't owe it to us to die for our sins. We are so undeserving. But still, Jesus, rich in love and mercy "made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness" (Philippians 2:7), and left His perfect life in heaven for us. He died the perfect death (because we could not) and gave us salvation. And then after He died a painful death on the cross, HE ROSE AGAIN. YA'LL. NOTHING CAN STOP OUR GOD! 

Without Christ I am nothing. Without Christ I am a sinner, condemned, lifeless, worthless, and hopeless. But with Christ, I am given a purpose.With Christ I am made worthy, I am made whole.  I am given a promise of eternal life.

No matter what is going on in your life or in this world there is ALWAYS something to be joyful about... and that is Christ! In Him we have salvation! In Him, we have eternity! In Him, we are loved! No matter what happens on this earth, what Jesus did on the cross stays the same! Tetelsetia!  That is the beautiful reality!  When we find our treasure in Jesus and embrace his truth, the things of this world pale in comparison. They are only temporary, while "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever" (Hebrews 13:8).

Guys, when we give our lives to Christ, and believe in him and what He did for us, we change. We are made whole, we are made clean, we are forgiven. We are able to have an intimate, real relationship with him. We can walk in freedom without fear. We are able to have joy and peace in times like these. We don't have to fear death because we get to spend eternity with him! 

Easter may not look like we are used to this year. But it is not about the church service, or pretty dresses. It is about celebrating the beautiful reality of Jesus dying for our sins and rising from the grave, defeating death! And I encourage you to embrace that amazing truth today.
